If you find that this is affecting your sales and need to get your site running ASAP you can create a new mals account, it will be created on a different working server other then 4 and input your new mals ID in your store admin under catalog set up and also your new mals server number under catalog set up. You will need to set your payment preferences and shipping. At least this will continue your orders on your website until mals gets this fixed. Then you can switch your cart back to server 4 once it is fixed or just leave it on your new one, its up to you. I wish I had more information for you on this outage but I only get it as mals releases it and so far have not heard! You can go to mals support forum to read more about this issue and get updates on the server status. There is a temporary server up at www4 that can be used in place of ww4. To use this temporary server, please select 'Catalog Setup' in your storeadmin area, and change the Mals-E Server from ww4 to www4.   THIS HAS ONLY AFFECTED People using the ww4 server, all others are fine. I wanted to inform everyone that due to so many being late with payments or not paying at all (this does not mean you inparticular, this is a notice to all clients) that we have implimented a strict billing policy for the new year. This policy will be effective starting January 1, 2010. All accounts that are unpaid after 30 days from their due date will be suspended and a $5 late fee will be added to your account. When your account is suspended all functions will stop, your website will not be visible and your email will not work. If after 5 days of suspension your account is not paid it will be terminated without notice. Once the account is terminated it is gone from the servers which means all data will be lost so if you want to get your site back you will have to rebuild it from scratch (unless I happen to make a back up copy of your site before it is terminated, you will need to contact me to see if one was made). You will be required to pay all past due and current charges including late fees to get your account re-activated if it is terminated. If your email address is not current in our billing system you need to sign in and update it. Contact me if you have lost your login details to our billing system. Also if your credit cards on file are expired or have been changed you need to update those as well. It is your responsibility to make sure that your website payments are made on time each month. Please make every effort to keep your accounts current and up to date and remember if you want to canel your website account that you need to do so BEFORE your next due date to avoid being billed for another month. During this time we will be upgrading our Apache web server to version 2.2.10 (from 1.3.4x). We will also be upgrading the operating system from CentOS 4.7 to CentOS 5.2. This upgrade will allow us to provide you with a higher level of performance and security. During the upgrade we will also be installing a new set of mod_security rules which will add to the overall protection our clients websites. We will also be upgrading our firewall software which help deflect distributed denial of service attacks and ensure that your sites are kept functioning at optimal levels. The server will stay online during this time however while the Apache service is recompiled your  websites will be unavailable for an estimated 30-45 minutes.
